The Race Report:
July 1st is always a great day to celebrate with morning run through beautiful down town Pitt Meadows. This year marks the 2nd for Athletes In Kind and the 13th annual race for the City of Pitt Meadows.
The 13th running of the PMCD8k was a day of extremes.
Extreme cheering, extreme generosity and extremely FAST running. [Read More]

Jeremiah Johnston set a new course record for the 8k with a 25:28 clocking, Judy Towers finished her first ever running event bringing home some hardware to show the grand kids. The range of ages was extreme- from 3yr old Jocelyn ( kids fun run) to 81 yr old Lenore Montgomery. Once again Darcy McLeod calling the 8k race gave us that BIG race sound but kept that small town feel.
There were participants from literally around the corner and as far away as North Vancouver. Similarly volunteers made their way from across the street and from across the boarder in Point Roberts.
Over 50 volunteers!
Emergency Services were well represented along the course. As always the Pitt Meadows Volunteer Fire Dept kept runners cool at Harris & Airport way. Ridge Meadows RCMP Auxiliary were at key intersections and BC Ambulance Paramedics were standing by at Spirit Square at the start/Finish line.
People were not only running with purpose they were giving with purpose: Raising over $8000.00 for families battling Cancer.
Thank-you everyone for another terrific race day,
your Race Directors Eric & Lorie Muller
