Athletes In Kind has a growing number of programs and events while building some of the already successful. The primary purpose of each of our events and programs is to raise money for families that are struggling financially because of childhood Cancer.
The Km Club has been a primary program of AIK since our organization started in 2005. We come alongside elementary schools and provide a running program for kids. They receive positive encouragement, reinforcing our purpose for running, giving, and learn what it means to be healthy, active and other centered. Participants are encouraged to give a small donation (a Loonie or two each week) of their own earned money to help them understand charity and what it means to be part of something normally only adults do thus adopting the program as their own.
"KIDS HELPING KIDS" is what this AIK program is all about.
The Race Team has grown, originating from the Km Club the Race Team run club focuses on grades 6 and 7.
