The KM CLUB participants at Pitt Meadows Elementary are placed into warm-up groups with a MENTOR/AIK RACE TEAM member. These MENTORS will lead the KMC in a 1k warm up in small groups. The intent is to create relationships through "PURPOSEFUL RUNNING"
The Race Team program is encouraged for grade 6 & 7 students who excell in sport and love to run. The RT Mentors use the skills taught in this leadership program in everyday life in and out of school.
One of the coolest things about running is that all ages and abilities can do it together. There are very few sports where you line up to start a race and you have a Professional or Olympic athlete side by side with you, starting and finishing the same distance.
