Purpose Driven Events

Athletes in Kind strives to help individuals give back to their community through sport. For over 10 years we have developed and hosted annual athletic events, where 100% of the funds generated are donated directly to families experiencing childhood cancer. All entry fees and donations directly support the cause and the Race Crew and team of Directors are all unpaid volunteers.

We believe these events are fun for both the participants and the volunteers! We always welcome more hands-on-deck—please contact us to learn more.

Athletes In Kind will not be hosting a run on Canada Day in 2017. Instead we are focusing our energy on OktoberFAST for Sunday October 1st. 5k, 10k and the Kids Fun Run.

Thank you for your running with us on Canada Day over many years and for supporting families battling cancer. We hope you have fond memories as we do.

Sincerely,

Generation Run

January 1, 10am – Osprey Village
No Pre-registration Necessary
Hosted by: Sole Experience Running Company

2015 brought so many new faces and return runners from age 2-82. It was a beautiful morning in Osprey Village as 159 walkers and runners came to run/walk or stroll in the New Year with us.

2015 was our best year yet raising more than $1,000 and hosting a simple safe and inviting run/walk for all 159 people from 3 GENERATIONS to participate in.

Some of our guests have been coming since their kids were in their in back packs, to strollers and now running beside their parents & grandparents. This is what running is all about, sharing the love of the simplicity of just lacing up and going for a run on your own stomping grounds.

We thank-you from the bottom of our hearts for sharing your New Years morning with the Muller Family & SOLE Experience Running Company & we invite you to join us again January 1st 2016

Mundy Park Charity Trail Race

It is with deep regret that we will not be running the race this year on May 5th. Due to lack of resources and volunteers we are not able to run a quality race like past years. Our focus will now be OktoberFAST 2017. Hope to see you there! If you have any questions, please contact us at (604) 817-1028

Mundy Park Charity Trail Race

This “kids only” trail race is a gem. Athletes In Kind Race Crew started this event because there was no other kids only race, we wanted to show kids they are as important as the kids they are running to support by having an event they could call their own not attached to an adult race.

The Mundy Park Charity Trail Race attracts kids 5-13 years old(grades K-7) from all over inspiring them to fund raise through online donation and train with their running mates at school for the big event held in Coquitlam in the Spring. There are prizes for the most funds raised by our local sponsors and everyone receives a finisher medal because they are all part of something bigger. All registration fees and sales support the BC Childhood Cancer Parents Association.

Our Race Crew and Sponsors make this race the safest one of its kind with volunteers throughout the course and a BIG Race Feel with a substantial Race Expo to explore and purchase items before and after the race as well as a coffee bar to keep the parents warmed during the event.
